SLOMIXX® Creamed Spinach

Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp butter
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 5 cloves garlic minced
  • 4 teaspoons SLOMIXX™
  • 1 tsp grated nutmeg
  • ¼ cup flour sifted
  • 3 ½ cups half and half
  • 3 lbs fresh spinach chopped or 2 lb frozen spinach thawed and drained
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese grated

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  2. In a large skillet melt butter with garlic and onion
  3. Cook on medium-low for 8-10 minutes until onions are translucent
  4. Add SLOMIXX and nutmeg
  5. Add flour and mix with a wooden spoon over low heat for 2-3 minutes
  6. Add half and half and cook until boiling
  7. Cook for 6-8 minutes until mixture is thickened
  8. Add parmesan and spinach mix thoroughly
  9. Transfer to oven-proof baking pan bake at 400 for 15-20 minutes till bubbly.
